An application and interview are required for admission to Seven Canyons School.  

To be eligible for a particular grade or program, a child should be the age stated in the program description by June 30 of the school-year in which the child enrolls.   An exception to this is for preschool, where the child may start preschool if they turn three by Sept. 1.  If your child does not meet the age deadline, you may speak directly to the teacher about placement.  We have made exceptions for children who are ready for our program at a younger age.

Our school year begins in early September and runs through the end of May.  For 2006-07 school year, we begin on Tuesday September 5 and end on Friday June 2.

Tuition

Grades: $6900 per year

Kindergarten: $4900 per year

Preschool: Five Days: $4,900 per year

Preschool: Three Days (M, T, W): $ 3,200 per year

Preschool: Two Days (Th, F): $2,200 per year

Tuition assistance is available for families who need it.  Please discuss your needs with our director, Stirling Cousins.  Our goal is to make Waldorf education available to everyone who is interested in our program.  We will do everything in our power to ensure that no child is turned away from Seven Canyons School due to financial need.

Tuition can be spread over 10 payments with the first being due August 1st. 

MATERIALS FEE

A materials fee covers the cost of materials for the year.  This helps cover the cost of all expendable materials.  It also helps repair and replace items that get broken or worn down over the course of the school year.  The materials fee is due as soon as your child is accepted to the school.  The materials fee is used as your registration fee.  It will reserve your spot in the class and is non-refundable.

The materials fee for the five day program is $300 for the year.  For the two day and three day programs it is $200 for the year.

Afterschool Program: Appleseeds Club

For preschoolers and kindergartners, our afterschool program begins at noon and continues the rhythm and activities found in our morning class.  The children eat lunch, hear a story, have a rest or nap, then do crafts and free play.  At 3:00 they have a snack and then have outdoor play.  The afternoon ends with story time. 

For grades students, our afterschool program begins at 3:00.

Parents can choose a half afternoon or a whole afternoon of Appleseeds Club.  A half afternoon ends at 3:00 and a whole afternoon ends at 5:30.  For preschoolers and kindergartners, a half afternoon costs $10.00 per day and a whole afternoon costs $18.00 per day.  For grades student, the afterschool program ends at 5:30 and costs $8.00 per day.

Children can attend Appleseeds Club any day or days.  Parents set the schedule a month in advance, but days are flexible month to month. 

Parent/Toddler Class - Shining Star Garden

Our Parent/Toddler class is one day a week for children 1 - 3 years old.  Please see curriculum for details.  The class is on Wednesdays from 9:00AM  to 11:00AM.  With enough interest, a Thursday class will be added.  

Tuition for Shining Star Garden is $350 per semester (Fall or Spring).
