About Seven Canyons School

Seven Canyons School offers curriculum based on Waldorf teaching practices and principles. The school offers a very low student-to- teacher ratio, close contact with caring, supportive staff and wonderful opportunities for a child to develop their intellectual, social and artistic selves.  The curriculum stresses interaction among students, music, art, physical play, imaginative play and a strong academic foundation in an environment of creativity and expression.  Seven Canyons School offers a preschool, kindergarten, first grade and (beginning fall 2007) second grade.  An additional grade will be added each year. 

Seven Canyons School is located on Salt Lake City's east side, at 2150 S. Foothill Dr., inside the First Congregational Church.  The school consists of beautiful classrooms and a lovely playground.  All aspects of the classrooms and playground have been designed and built to welcome children and allow them to use their imaginations to the fullest extent possible.

For younger children, Seven Canyons School offers a parent-toddler class.  This class is intended for children age 1 - 3 years.  The parent-toddler class meets once per week with parents present.  It is a chance for younger children to experience the magic of Waldorf curriculum in a secure setting.
